Economists' Job Family
Economists across ADB play a central role in informing ADB’s strategies and help ensure that evidence-based research is integrated into the design and implementation of projects and programs across Asia and the Pacific. They work closer with the Economic Research and Development Impact Department, which supports ADB operations by assessing macroeconomic risks; supporting country, sector, and thematic diagnostic studies; reviewing the economic analysis of projects; and leading discussions of ways to strengthen its development impact.
Chief Economist and Director General
Albert F. Park
Albert F. Park is the Chief Economist of the Asian Development Bank and Director General of its Economic Research and Development Impact Department (ERDI). He leads ADB’s economic research, flagship publications, and regional cooperation initiatives. With over 20 years of experience as a development economist, his work focuses on economic development, poverty reduction, labor markets, and the economy of the People’s Republic of China.
